The Charlotte 49ers women’s tennis team defeated Wofford on the road to claim their fifth consecutive victory to cap off the regular season.

Four straight singles wins propelled the 49ers to a 4-1 triumph after falling behind 1-0 in doubles play.

“We had a great focus in singles after some tough doubles matches,” head coach Michaela Gorman said. “I’m very proud of the way we were able to go out and finish the day, and the regular season, with a win.”

Each 49er led their respective singles contest however both Tai Martin and Macy Vonderschmidt’s matches were left unfinished due to their teammates’ success.

Charlotte will now rest before looking towards the Conference USA tournament beginning Thursday at Middle Tennessee. The 49ers will wait to receive their seeding until all teams finish their regular season.
