A UNC Charlotte student is stable, but in serious condition, after suffering a gunshot Thursday. The shooting occurred at a residence on Bonnie Lane, less than a mile from campus.

Police were called at 12:34 p.m. The victim and two suspects had arranged a drug transaction. During the meeting, the suspects robbed the student of cash and a handgun, then shot him. They fled the scene in a grey Nissan Altima.
