Police Blotter: Reports filed April 8 through April 14

The following are reports of criminal and other incidents responded to by the UNC Charlotte campus Police & Public Safety from April 8 – 13.

Accident

April 8

  • PVA Lot 19 – Vehicle one and vehicle two collided with each other while backing out of parking spaces. No injuries reported.

April 13

  • Lot 30 – While parking, driver of vehicle one applied the gas instead of the break causing the vehicle to move forward. The vehicle struck a fixed pole causing the pole to uproot. No injuries were reported.

Alcohol Violation

April 8

  • Laurel Hall – Officers issued a state citation in reference to underage drinking.
  • Laurel Hall – Officers issued a campus appearance ticket in reference to underage drinking.

April 9

  • Lot Six – Officers issued a state citation in reference to underage drinking.
  • Lot Six – Officers issued a campus appearance ticket in reference to underage drinking.

April 14

  • Lot 21 – Officer issued a state citation in reference to underage drinking.
  • Lot 21 – Officer issued a campus appearance ticket in reference to underage drinking.

Larceny

April 9

  • Student Union – Victim reported his laptop was stolen that was left unsecured in a public area.

April 13

  • Atkins Library – Unknown person removed victim’s bag that was left unsecured in a public area.

April 12

  • Friday Building – Officers took a report of a stolen paper towel holder.

April 14

  • Duke Hall – Unknown subject removed victim’s bicycle that was left unsecured in a public area.

Molest Fire Equipment

April 8

  • Lynch Hall – Officers responded in reference to activated fire alarm. No fire was present. Witness stated that the alarm pull was activated and the individual who pulled it left the scene.
  • Wallis Hall – Officers responded in reference to activated fire alarm. No fire was present. Subject was questioned and admitted to pulling the fire alarm.
