Crime Blotter: March 18 – March 24

The following are reports of criminal and other incidents received by Police & Public Safety from March 18 to March 24

Accident

March 18

Lot 29 – While backing out of a marked parking space, driver of vehicle one struck vehicle two causing damage to both vehicles. Vehicle two was exiting the lot. No injuries were reported.

March 20 
Cameron Boulevard – While turning left from Chancellors Place onto Cameron Boulevard, driver of vehicle one struck vehicle two. Vehicle two was traveling on Cameron Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

Alcohol Violation

March 18

Martin Hall – Subject was issued a Campus Appearance Ticket due to his level of intoxication. MEDIC transported subject to CMC University. Upon release, an officer transported subject back to Martin Hall.

March 24

Cameron Boulevard – Officers issued Campus Appearance Tickets in reference to under aged drinking.

Drug Violation

March 19

Off Campus – Officers were assisting with a DWI checkpoint. While speaking with the subject, officers detected the odor of marijuana. Subject was found to have marijuana in his vehicle and received a state citation.

March 24

Cameron Boulevard – Officers issued a Campus Appearance Ticket in reference to under aged drinking. The State Citation was issued by CMPD.

Involuntary Commitment

March 24

Belk Hall – Subject was transported by MEDIC to CMC University after threatening to harm themself.

Larceny

Atkins Library – Subject stated that an unknown person removed money from her backpack without permission.

Vandalism

March 24

Levine Hall – Officer took a report of an individual that damaged an exit sign.
