Crime Blotter: Feb. 25 – March 10

The following are reports of criminal and other incidents received by Police & Public Safety from Feb. 25 to March 10

Accident

Feb. 28

Cri-Deck – Victim stated that a gate arm malfunctioned and struck his truck. No injuries were reported.

March 1

Ramp of East Deck Two –  Driver of vehicle one struck the rear of vehicle two that had stopped for a traffic signal. No injuries were reported.

March 2

Parking lot behind Holshouser Hall – While backing, driver of vehicle one struck vehicle two that was parked and unoccupied. No injuries were reported.

March 4

University Road – Driver of vehicle one backed into vehicle two that was parked behind him. No injuries were reported.

Union Deck – While backing out of a marked parking space, vehicle one struck vehicle two which was exiting the deck. No injuries were reported.

March 8 

Student Union Deck Lane – Vehicle one was unable to gain entry into Student Union Deck. Vehicle one started to back up and backed into the front bumped of vehicle two. No injuries were reported.

Alcohol Violation

Feb. 26

Holshouser Hall – Officer issued two State Citations in reference to underage drinking.

Arrest

Feb. 25

Unspecified – Subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop.

Breaking and Entering 

March 5

Lot 16 – Officers responded to investigate a report of an individual who was removing items from the Cameron building. Subject was arrested because of the investigation.

Drug Violation

Feb. 27

Unspecified – Officer issue a State Citation in reference to drug possession. Officer issued two Campus Appearance Ticket Citations in reference to drug possession.

Feb. 28

Cameron Boulevard – Officer issued two State Citations in reference to possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Officer issued a Campus Appearance Ticket in reference to possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Larceny 

Feb. 25

Pine Hall Construction Site – Officer took a report in reference to stolen construction equipment.

March 4

Atkins Library – Unknown subject removed victim’s backpack that was left unattended in a public area.

March 8

Miltimore Hall – Unknown person(s) removed victim’s laundry from a washer.

March 10

Scott Hall – Unknown person(s) removed copper wire and tools from a secured work site.

Smith Building – Unknown person(s) removed property from the victim’s tool bag that was left unattended in a public area.

Cameron Hall – Unknown person(s) removed a computer monitor from a desktop in a secured room.

Obtain Property by False Pretense

March 4

Early College Campus – Officer took a report reference to an individual who failed to pay their taxi fare.

Vandalism 

March 1

Lot 8 – Victim stated that an unknown person “keyed” her vehicle.

March 4

South Village Parking Deck – Officer took a report in reference to a damaged elevator.

March 10

Cone Deck Two – Subject reported a gate arm came down and struck his vehicle.
