UNC Charlotte Greek community hosts annual Airband event in Halton Arena

Several hundred students, friends, parents, members of the Greek community and UNC Charlotte faculty packed Halton Arena Friday, April 15 all to see the much anticipated Airband 2016.

Sororities and fraternities performed elaborate themed dances ranging from Beetlejuice to a ‘90s decade tribute, The Lion King, Wizard of Oz, original themes and other beloved pop culture classics.

In the end, only six organizations placed: Kappa Sigma and Kappa Delta claimed third place, Sigma Tau Gamma and Chi Omega captured second, while first place trophies and bragging rights went to Sigma Phi Epsilon and Alpha Delta Pi.
