Beauty review: Benefit’s They’re Real mascara

| October 22, 2014

Finding a good mascara without burning a hole in your wallet can be tricky. From all the different wands, colors and formulas, the process can be overwhelming.

If you have ever shopped at Ulta or Sephora, odds are you have seen or heard about Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara. There are thousands of reviews about this best selling mascara.

This mascara has a one of a kind wand. With its thick bendable bristles and a spiky tip applicator, it ensures that all lashes are coated, including the small, hard to reach ones. The formula itself is a jet black waterproof gel and Benefit guarantees that their mascara will not smudge or dry out.

When applying this mascara, immediately I could tell a dramatic difference in the length, volume and curl of my lashes. I naturally have very light and short lashes, but with this mascara applied, it actually does look like false lashes were applied.

All in all, if you’re on the fence about this mascara, I recommend testing out the mini mascara first. Although $10 is pricy for a small mascara, Sephora and Ulta both accept returns on products that are not satisfactory. Price of the mini mascara is $10 and it is $23 for the full size mascara.
