So did someone die or not? Why hasn’t there been any more information given about this incident?

If anyone knows additional details, please share!!!!

    Was it suicide?

    • Sanik says:

Yes. This person is dead. That person is said to have commited a suicide by jumping off the 6th level of union parking deck.

  8. Ashley says:

I am incredibly saddened to hear of this incident, and angry that as students we are not being informed. I understand if they want to keep the name confidential, but this should be a time of action, not sweeping it under the rug. If it was suicide, then as a school and community we need to come together and work to combat the stigma and shame and work towards helping people who feel so horrible that they would take their own life. Suicide is the second cause of death among all college students. Obviously this is a serious issue and calls for attention. How can we help people and try to prevent more of these incidents from happening if we are not aware of what is going on?

  9. Joshua Peters says:

I know the person who jumped. He was a good friend of mine, deeply saddened and confused. I’m not sure why, either UNCC is choosing not to provide the adequate information, or why this coverage team hasn’t posted any follow up.
