It’s that time again.
After Hours is once again bringing fantastic local music to UNC Charlotte this coming Tuesday with VESS, Falling Through April and WeakerCaptain.
VESS is making a name for themselves in the Charlotte music scene.
This alternative rock band has performed with local music staples such as Grown Up Avenger Stuff and Brandon Kirkley and the Firecrackers this year.
The band also earned their spot at 106.5 The End’s Weenie Roast this past September, performing alongside bands such as Switchfoot, Coheed and Cambria, Flogging Molly and many more.
Comprised of Jeremy Vess, Evan Sheets, Jeremy Mullis, Dominic Geralds and Jeremy Hopkins, VESS will undoubtedly perform a fantastic set full of high energy, addictive rock tunes.
Falling Through April (FTA) is rising this year as well.
The band, formed last July, has unique members all with distinct styles that all come together to be wonderfully conveyed through their music.
Support through the local music scene, along with an effective social media presence, has given FTA opportunities to truly take flight.
“Take Flight,” their debut album, was released earlier this month.
With fantastic and meaningful songs such as “Enigma,” “Secrets in a Small Town,” and “Brace Yourself,” FTA is soon on their way to becoming a highly successful band in the Charlotte area, and beyond.
Finally, WeakerCaptain, the newest addition to the lineup, will also be performing at After Hours.
This band, composed of Keenan Jackson, Alex McEachern, Daniel Caldwell and Nathan Riddle, has a sound reminiscent of Ivoryline or Anberlin, but with a unique twist.
The production value and punching vibes of their songs really provides for a head-bang worthy listening experience.
Consistently performing across the Carolinas with a variety of different bands, WeakerCaptain truly is making a name for themselves by performing often and performing well.
Make sure to stop by After Hours this Tuesday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. for a fantastic rock show. Admission is free.
